: Regardless I can strap clamp it in place and shape. Will just make some
: 4oz tape and do the outsides along the joint. Live and learn!

I had to strap my two halves together to get things to line up. My build goes VERY slowly - it is a low priority time commitment. As a result, the straps stayed on for several months. Two things are worthy of mention.

First, even after several months of being strapped in place, the halves did not line up on their own. It was fairly easy to get them lined up when they were finally joined together.

Second, the long duration resulted in the cedar getting darker - EXCEPT under the straps! The effect was minor, but detectable. The exposure to sunlight was minimal, but since the surfaces were glassed I could not sand out the color difference. It was even longer before I got the varnish on and the colors seemed to have evened out.

Your build is going fairly fast so you probably will not have any color issues but I might as well share what I learned.
