: It appears to be a good weekend for launching sea otters. Mine got launched
: over the weekend. It slightly longer than the directions and about half
: inch narrower. I decided to do a few things differently. The joints are
: not epoxied. Half the gunwalls are lashed and pegged and all the
: keel/stringers are just lashed. The stem and stern got gunwall risers and
: instead of the gunwalls ending at the tips, the stems extend forward. The
: cockpit is smaller and the masik got laminated so its more comfortable.
: Its the boat I was hoping for, but the initial stability is less than I would
: like. After three days of paddling, I got conciderably more comfotable
: paddling it.
: Its skinned in 7oz nylon from dyson and zar poly. Scarfed pine gunwalls, some
: wonderfull dark and incredibly smelly WRC stringers and stems and 1/3inch
: plywood forms. A re-used oak coaming.

: Thanks Tom for your website...

Cool, nice looking boat, also like the lashing :)
