Hi Charlie,

I'm going to run some tests. A sqft of luan on a sqft of 1 1/2" thick blue foam. Vs a sqft of foam with a layer of glass, then a layer of 3/16" cedar toped with a layer of glass. Then weigh the two. You could be right. But I wonder if anyone has built two of the same type boats one a stripper and one luan, and what the weights were. I've used some luan on my two strippers and flinched at the weight of the luan.
