I have been reading with interest and there is some of this "West Says" that makes sense and then there is some that doesn't.

When I glassed the underside of the deck it curled like a potato chip. It took some serious force to get the deck back down to the bulkheads. Those two areas did this and not just on the joints. All over the surface. No doubt stress related. No signs of the problems on the rest of the deck. Just where I had to put all that force with the strap clamps and wood wedges.

The rest of these dimples are on a glue line. My joints were tight. I hand beveled each one and while I am not perfect I know I did a good job of fitting 98% of those strips. I do a lot of wood working and a lot of experience with a hand plane. Some of these are in areas with no stress to speak of. Like around the front of the cockpit. I don't sit there and I only had to spread it something like 1/2" inch to fit back on the boat. I just pushed it out and held it in place with some filament tapes. So there is no stress on that area unlike at the bulkheads. So that explanation doesn't make sense there but it does at bulkhead.

My boat has only spent 3 or 4 days sitting outside in the sun. Mostly half day at a time sitting on the truck waiting to leave. It's HOT here right now. So no doubt the boat would have gotten hot. I have since discovered that it fits on the racks much better upside down so that might prevent it once I repair it.

What is causing it? I don't know except for the stressed areas at the bulkheads. I didn't ask about that because I figured that one out when I glued the deck down. This along the joints though it not stress, at least not at the cockpit. There just isn't any stress on that area.
