If you are only going to cut the strips for the boat, why not rent a saw for a couple days? Local tool rental or (...sigh...) HomeDespot. (I think they have enough of my money already...)
Also be sure to put more than 1 blade on the arbor with spacers in between. This will cut the amount of time you spend cutting strips significantly.
