: This is the second time I resurrected a misbehaving stapler by boiling it. My
: T-50 was shooting staples on an angle and occasionally a staple would not
: come out. I know it's dried wood glue in there that throws the internal
: firing mechanism out of whack. I boiled it at a rolling boil for 5 minutes
: or so and I also used a brush to clean the outside too. Then holding it
: with a towel, I fire it 12 or more times with the firing part under the
: hot water (off the stove). Unbelievable- it is like new again. I shoot in
: some WD 40 and you'll be surprised how much easier it works with a little
: lube as well.
You're obviously using your stapler a heck of alot more than me, good tip though. Course I'm on my second SOF so the stapler mostly gets a rest.
