Strip: Trouble on the horizon

I'm stripping the hull on a Petrel and will soon be confronting the very small radius hard chine section in the vicinity of the cockpit. Does anyone have any advice as to how to get over this chine. The Petrel seems to be unique in this regard, so I'm not getting much insight from the various build logs of other boats.
