: West Systems makes a a very clear epoxy for those that prefer it but it is
: top of the line and costs more.

And worth every penny. I have been using West 207 and USC, and I struggle with USC and hate it. It is thick and sticky, and cures extremely slowly.

The West is great, even the packaging. The metal containers are much nicer than plastic because they are rigid and don't deflect when you pump them, and the pumps work better than the pumps USC sells for their stuff.

As far as color- they say that 207 is the color of classic amber spar varnish, but it looks a bit green to me. I spoke to West's tech line and they said that in certain lights/with certain glasses it looks green. I noticed afterward that when I used e-glass it was crystal clear, and it was only when I used S-glass it looked green. West is changing their formula in the fall to make it "water white" with no amber tint, but the West rep said that it looks a bit blue to him. It looks great over carbon fiber because it's so clear.
