Thanks for the kind words. I haven't been on this forum as much as I used to now that the boat is finished. I've been enjoying my kayak so much. It is so much fun to paddle. I was worried about trying to keep up with all the 17' boats in my group and I've had no problems. I love it. The AT14 is so versatile. Don't worry about the weight of the boat too much. I have learned the lighter boats blow around more! Especially when putting them on the roof racks. See, silver lining in every cloud! Mine is heavy too, but still lighter than plastics! You'll get that kayak done. I hope you post some pics. I enjoy seeing other AT14's too. It's fun to print something off your printer and put it under glass. It just adds a little custom touch.
