Finished up the ends of the chines last night, just need to decide on adding any more wood to the "masik" so I can finalize the forward deck stringer(s).

Will definitely be able to do the 'plastic wrap' test sometime this week, and hopefully start on skinning this weekend.

Yes, the stern is that shallow, lots of rocker there. Not nearly as much as my earlier designs, though. The sheer line is pretty subtle, the gunwales do not have as much 'flare' as is typical for SOF kayaks (just 10 degrees off vertical). I wanted minimal overhang on the ends and a very understated/clean appearance. See link below to a few more images...
