I built a Bear Mountain Resolute with a 9' 3" open cockpit. It has a bow and a stern seat and a rudder. One seat can be re-located to the center to use it as a single. The rudder can be controlled from either of the three locations. I had to make my own low profile footrests with toe control for the rudder. It was built for two lightweight adults but it has been tested with 480 pounds of paddlers in it.
