What I was looking for us something that could just chug away unattended - I've read all the posts and agree that a hand pump backup or something similar is necessary, but what I was looking for was something that could get on with draining the water whilst I put on the spray deck and concentrated on paddling/staying upright!

I had thought of putting in 2 or 3 of the pumps - they struck me as useful as they are solar/and or battery powered ...
