Hi,

With my Night Heron build beginning soon, I'd like to have a pattern in the deck like the 'wave' or 'ribbon' designs that are common decorations - i.e. a light-coloured band from bow, curving around cockpit and across aft deck.

Is there any online resource/site showing how to do this? From memory Nick's book shows how to do a simple pattern in strips but not like this, with curved wood and strips cut to meet the design.

Any instrucitonal sites, pics, etc would be appreciated, particularly:
-order in which it's done (main strip first obviously)
-how to curve the wood in this plane (I imagine it would induce twist to a thin strip)
-supporting the joins while building/glassing - do you need something underneath.
