On my Outer Island, I stripped the deck parallel to the centerline, and then cut out a channel for the inlay. There's some more pictures on the website.

: Hi,

: With my Night Heron build beginning soon, I'd like to have a pattern in the
: deck like the 'wave' or 'ribbon' designs that are common decorations -
: i.e. a light-coloured band from bow, curving around cockpit and across aft
: deck.

: Is there any online resource/site showing how to do this? From memory Nick's
: book shows how to do a simple pattern in strips but not like this, with
: curved wood and strips cut to meet the design.

: Any instrucitonal sites, pics, etc would be appreciated, particularly: -order
: in which it's done (main strip first obviously)
: -how to curve the wood in this plane (I imagine it would induce twist to a
: thin strip)
: -supporting the joins while building/glassing - do you need something
: underneath.

: Thanks,
