The OI hull is pretty roundy, not a good candidate for S&G. Time to get into stripping. :D

I agree with Ted and John, if you want a highly maneuverable surfer or rock garden boat forget the OI. It's most definitely a hard tracker. On the other hand, I love its great speed and handling in open ocean conditions so much I really don't care to paddle anything else much. As for maneuverability, I find that it responds nicely to agressive technique. I'm even building myself a second one as I've pretty well trashed the one I have now.

It ain't for everybody. No boat is.
