The booties are the same Tropos (Kokatat's less breathable membrane)fabric as the suit. I either wear cheap Croc imitations when the water's less than frigid and we're not planning to do much ashore, or thick neoprene boots that are actually the feet and lower legs of discarded divers' drysuits. I wear thickish merino wool socks, which stay warm even when wet.

Underlayers are a matter of matching the layers to the water temp. We generally use thin polypro underwear, then layer successive layers of poly fleece to suit the water temperature. Kinda hard to judge when the water temp is +1C, air temp +25C, but we decided long ago we'd rather sweat in the boat than freeze in the water. For real cold conditions, you'll also need good head and hand protection...
