: Would I be right thinking that out gassing is not a problem after one layer
: of glass and epoxy has been applied to the wood?
: I am building an Arctic Hawk kit, and the inside of the hull is covered with
: glass prior to the assembly.

: by the way any tips from anyone who has built this kit?
: thanks

A wet-out layer of glass will not be air tight nor water proof, so off gassing can still be an issue.

Seal coating the bare wood before glassing can reduce this possibility.

An additional coat of resin is needed to seal the surface from air and water.
I've seen a many boats constructed with glass, where the interior was left
at the wet-out stage and, water and mold has seeped into the glass and wood over time.

If you apply a fill coat, make sure your temperatures are dropping, or you
could have air bubbles in the coating which will allow water intrusion later.

All the best,
Rob
