I am just finishing my S&G kayak. I have painted some parts, and varnished others. I am wondering if I can/should urethane over the entire thing. I was thinking about using the helmsman clear urethane and coating over the paint and varnish. This is mostly because there is a slight ridge where the paint and varnish meet and I want the transition to look as seamless as possible. Any thoughts?
Also, does anyone know if the Helmsman clear urethane is truly clear, or if it is yellowish?
