Well I'm certainly not an expert on this, but I'll try since no one else answered. From what I've seen the color is translucent so it has to be colored in stages. I'd tint each coat and see how it goes.

I'd also ask for more expert help, I've yet to try a boat with a nylon cover, have used thousands of yards of it though for other uses. (at one time made outdoor folding furniture professionally)
