A 4x8 foot sheet of new HDPE was about $100 here in Tucson from a local distributer two years ago. Another distributer I contacted asked $300.
On the other hand. I purchased a 6 foot long piece of HDPE from a local restaurant for very cheap. It was a cutting board that they had replaced.
You might want to ask around.
