Thanks for the idea of joining doen the middle. Will mean buying another run of cloth but it's not expensive.

I wasn't able to get the 4oz/130g cloth any wider - that's the only width my supplier has it in, and I haven't found anywhere else convenient who sells wider cloth. Yes, I suppose I could mail order it but I thought it would reach. And I really want to get the boat finished this month to use on a trip on the 1st November. So may go the two halves option.

John - I train on the Yarra and we do some races there, otherwise I'll be using it in other races and the Masters Games in Feb 09 unless I build another one before then.
