In Response To: Paddle: Take apart GP (Charles Robinson)
: I decided to cut my Greenland style paddle in two and make it a take apart,
: using Tom Yost's instructions, for ease in transporting. I am using a
: metal ferrule I got from Chesapeake LC and would like to glue it to the
: loom. What should I use to glue the metal to the wood or should I just put
: a stainless steel screw through the screw hole and leave it at that?

If you decide to use epoxy as some have recommended above, I'd put in a vote for West Sys G/Flex - it does have a lot of flex once cured, and is intended to be used to glue dissimilar materials. I've had good results with it, although not in this application.
