I´ve been trying to construct my first papermade model of a S&G kayak to understand how parts get fixed together and to understand the points scheme. Yesterday, I made one my own and I´m going to do another until the moment I think I´m prepared to work with lines in the plywood directly.
I observed that papermade model is simple to do, but lines must be traced exactly how they appear in the table of offsets. My first model is a disaster! There it is, all glued with adhesive paper.
So, I have a doubt, looking at this little work:
Parts must be glued side by side and need to touch each other from the bow to stern, without "trespassing" to other part? I mean: the parts must be glued straightly in the limits and a third part (adhesive paper, for example) do the rest?
I´ll try another model...
If someone has something to say, say it.
