Thanks for the input guys.

I am leaning towards one layer, very carefully sanded, rather than two. Just a thought. I had thought snading the inner layer would allow the outer ones to conform to the shape, but then the outer ones would be flat on the inside so not lay down exactly - different from a larger boat where the curves aren't as great.

So, one again I bow to the wisdom of experts (i.e. anyone but me, who has actually done this before). If the NH works, then I'll have strips left over for the micro bootlegger. But will be doing a racing K1 before that.
