Good to see you're still at it! I changed jobs so had lost your email/blog address, but was interested to see where you were up to.

Given the commonality in amterial, I'm thinking of going the same way now - single layer with 6oz glass, and after the inside is glassed may run a few stringers doen the inside and glass tape over them.. Won't add much weight.

The Night Heron is similar (I think) to the Guillemot - same designer and style of boat. Will post pics as I get going on it. Do you have any new pics of your progress?

You may well finish before me still - I am completing a TK1 by David Payne (Sydney yacht/boat designer) for racing, and it's taken me so long I'm now paddling a K1 so need to build one of them out of the strips too. But will get onto the Night Heron before the K1.

Good luck with your builds - you're way ahead of me with designing your own!
