: The paddling today was "gardening" harvesting a load of seaweed for
: the garden. My partner's stable kayak's aft hatch was filled but my
: unstable kayak's fore deck was covered such that a very high stroke was
: needed, almost needed a periscope too.

: Makes a change from doing a sales job (a paddle across the harbour and back)
: with a prospective kayak builder - a morning paddle and an afternoon
: sitting in the sun drinking coffee - anyone jealous yet?

: We paddle all year, including multiday trips. Sometimes need to wipe the
: frost off the deck in the mornings but so what.... Have had to stand
: around eating breakfast waiting until the tent "melts" enough to
: roll-up.

It gets a little too cold around here for year round paddling, that and the kayak isn't a real good ice breaker in the winter months
