Had a fire in the condo three doors down. Been displaced for the last months .
Everyones OK, but life is "suspended" in a way. I lost nothing but the roof over my head - literally. They had to replace the whole thing - what wasnt gutted anyway Kayak was in the basement and the house is off limits to me except certain hours for home/access/work . The contractor wouldnt let me go paddling - I can almost guaruntee it. For now mny family is jammed into a 10'X10' room and i sleep in a damp cold moldy basement in a tent and air mattress. LOL - you asked !!!

Good news is we lost no valuables of any sort. It's just a life "suspended" in ways that are really kind of basic - but - they sy by Thanksgiving we can move back in. I'll be tiling the bathroom shower. Looking forward to that.
My outrigger sail rig - also suspended still sits in the basement [ I was convinced it was going to gop up in a ball of flames - part of my horror acceptance at the time the flames were hitting 15feet off the top of the roof a few doors down.

Whats good... beside everyone being OK - I'm making more now this time than I did last year. LOL - oh hell at this point if you have any job your rich i guess. Its been a waiting game Bob - and Im weary of it all. Thats about the size of it all.
