S&G: Scarf clamping pressure

I'm building myself a S&G Night Heron from plans and I've just finished cutting the scarf joints (using the jig on the oneocean site). But before I glue em up, I wanted to ask the forum a question about clamping pressure. Knowing that I don't want to force the thickened epoxy out of the joint what sort of pressure do I apply? I had some ideas and they might be useful for your feedback...

Concrete breeze block, plastic grocery sack filled with stones, 2 or 3 clay bricks - these are all things I can easily find round the garden.

Any ideas before I jump in this coming weekend?
