I agree, brown packing tape works well. Heavy weight polyethelene painters drop clothes do too, the really thin stuff is hard to work with, nothing lighter than 3 mil. If you have a problem with epoxy sticking you can use PVA, I think it's "poly vinyl alcohol", it's a release agent that's wiped over a molding surface, pretty cheap too. Most fiberglass suppliers have it. Mold release wax works well, regular car wax can work too but look for a product that's all carnuba wax without cleaners.
