I have modified both the Petrel and OI. On the OI I reduced the plans to 90% and length to 17'. It tracks well and turns ok and is pretty fast. The Petrel cockpit was modified by lowering it an inch and using an ocean size cockpit. It is an unbelievably stable kayak in rough water, but does need the skeg. You can adjust anything to size. Both fit me well at 140,5'7".
