: I could tell by all the smiles that the weather was great and everyone ejoyed
: themselves. Reminded me of the time I went to R2K6, was great fun. That
: said, I have no choice but to cope with conditions here in Edmonton,
: Canada, eh! Wind chill at -23 C, snowing and the river slowly freezing.
: The river is still open though and I plan on getting out on it this
: Saturday. There is sheet ice floating on the surface, all shallow areas
: are now capped with solid ice but for me, it still looks like great
: conditions to go out and have fun. This could be my last paddle of the
: season because the weather is supposed to cool off to a painful -23 C
: before any windchill is considered. Can't wait to get out there! :)

I really enjoy these posts Rob, it makes it seem so much warmer here .

Still odd that you have a wet river and ours is frozen solid, and your temps are a whole lot colder. Clean water must freeze more slowly, ours is full of silt.
