Don't have plans for that boat, but deck height transitions are usually made around the cockpit. Can be relatively easy if the cockpit is long, can be kinda tricky if the cockpit is round and tiny. Making the strips narrower helps alot, if they are standard width be prepared to use heat (hot air gun) to persuade the strips to make the curves.
