In Response To: Tools: trim plane for strip bevel? (DaveS)

I've been using a Stanley 12-101 exclusively, and have found it very good. It's much lighter than any of my other planes, and the shorter bed and quick blade depth adjustment works well on strips with concaves.

The price is pretty hard to beat, and it fitted in well with my standoff jig 'cheat' for bevelling strips accurately. The combination has made stripping the hull really straight forward. Also just slips into the side pocket on my apron which is a big plus when there are so many places for tools to just vanish!
