From what I can see by the panels that I have shaped so far, I think the S&G NH will fit my needs quite niecly. However, I will round the chines a wee bit because I prefer a little more looseness. Er, I mean, I prefer a kayak that has a little more tippiness than a more stable one. I am hoping to finally learn to roll in the NH since I couldn't do it in the VJ (Waters Dancing Lightning 17)...'course, trying to roll in a kayak with a broken hip brace is a recipie for failure. Still haven't repaired that broken hip brace but the VJ does well enough as she is.

I should update the progress I am making on the S&G NH. I have all the parts cut out of the 4-mm Okhume plywood I am using to build. Thus far I have sanded to shape half the long panels and expect to have all parts shaped by the weekend. I should be glueing the sections of the long panels together during the next week and should probably maybe might start building the hull. If my projections seem kinda iffy it's cause I am itching to get out and paddle and if the weather is good, building takes the back seat for a few days. I have no pics to post because my home computer system is in pieces and piled high in a box right now. I am in the middle of moving to my sweetheart's place (yeppers, shackin' up with a babe) and I am not really sure where I left my camera...prolly in some box as well.
