Strip: Imperfect Strongback Perfect Boat?

My friend and I just built an internal strongback boxbeam for a Cape Ann Storm. It's as straight as we could possibly get it, but it's still not an arrow. This is my first strip boat (2 S&G CLC 17LTs), and I'm wondering if a perfectly straight strongback is absolutely essential.

Can we get the kayak keel line perfect without building a table to lay the beam on and shimming it perfectly straight and square?

THanks.

Perfect alignment from tight string

No, it's not essential.
