In Response To: Skin-on-Frame: sea flea 12ft (florian schneidt)

: I'm building a Tom Yost "Sea Flea" in the 12 ft version.
: I can find the spacing of the cross sections for both versions on Tom Yosts
: website, but I don't know how long the bow and the stern extend past the
: first and the last cross section. Is it right to have the stern and bow
: extend for the same length from their respective cross section? I'm
: looking for a fairly neutral behavior in quarterly winds...
: Many thanks in advance, Florian

I didn't worry about a measurement. I just went with a natural curve. If it looks good it is good. since this is a childs kayak performance wasn't a major concern. BTW the kayak came out longer than 12 feet. I'll measure it tonight.

You can see this kayak at work in ted Henry's r2k9 photo,s
