Great comments here! I agree: keep whatcha got, and build another like you want. One of the chief advantages to the GP is that you can stack 'em up, try so many different parameters, and really dial in your own style. Can't do that with $400 paddles. And as Toni says, different paddles for different boats? Man, that's living in the lap of luxury.

Funny thing, of all the different lengths, widths, etc., that I've tried it never occurred to me to experiment with different loom lengths. Boy do I feel silly. Oh well, time to refer to the Paddler's All-Purpost Motto once again: "I get there eventually."
