: Bill,

: Thanks. That is actually why I'm looking. My theory on the boat is that my
: Night Heron may be quite fast for somebody above 180lbs, but that a
: lighter kayaker like myself doesn't get much 'benefit' in terms of a
: narrower waterline width, since it's essentially a box with straight sides
: into the water (It's still a great boat and I'll certainly do my open
: ocean kayaking using it as it feels really stable by now.).

: The Pax 18's sides on the other hand seem to have quite an angle, which,
: given the overall width and length, should result in a narrower waterline
: width.

: Now, you made me quickly step on a scale. I'm at 158lbs right now and think I
: probably could loose a couple more. Also, everything previously said
: towards getting in better shape for endurance races still applies. ;-)

: Ruedi

I'm about 190-195 so I've got plans for the Pax 20, unused so far.
