: Has anyone ever used a metal drywall stud as a spine for their strip built
: kayak? It seems like it would be straighter than a wooden stud and easier
: than building one out of plywood?\
: Thanks. Pete

If you are talking about the metal "U" shaped 'stud' used in walls. they are quite flexible in the twisting direction. Seems like it would e hard to keep from ending up with a bit of a cork screw effect on the final hull.

hmmmm maybe 2 of them nested open side to open side to form a box beam.....
Let us know if you try it!
