: Was wondering if anyone has purchased any Okoume plywood from this place in
: Vickory (near Sandusky) Ohio and if their quality is any good? They list
: their product as "Joubert" Okoume Ply stated as BS1088 but their
: dimension for 4mm is 3/16" rather than 5/32" which may just be a
: typo. They are within driving distance to me (4 hours) and their prices
: are competitive so I could save a lot in crate and shipping charges by
: picking this up. They are listed on the www.okume.org website (which I
: found through Google.

: Just trying to figure out my best option for lumber.

Vickery, Ohio

Are we splitting hairs? I have a sheet from them and the thickness is between 5/32 and 3/16. Does a 'normal' 4mm sheet measure out to 4mm?

They have big stacks of okoume. I built my last yak from their wood. I am very satisfied with it. I have gotten 3mm, 4mm and 6mm from them. And got a sheet of meranti last year for my deck. I would say their quality is up there with CLC.
