In Response To: Material: shelf life of fiberglass cloth (James Hanrahan)

: Does fiberglass cloth deteriorate in any manner if stored for several years
: before using. I had purchased 60 yds of 6 oz a couple of years ago that I
: haven't put to use yet.

I use stuff that's been kicking around a dusty workshop in all sorts
of temperatures for most of a decade. Never had a problem (and the
resin is just as old). It's like all these things that say "best before
". Does it smell bad ? No, so it's fine... and if it does smell
bad it's still fine if used with enough chilli :-)
