Strip: joining the halves

The ideal time to join the halves is as soon as the inside glass is hard to the touch. Epoxy hardens over months and the hull will just get tougher to flex when you want to mate the halves. There will be glass and epoxy residue on the lips so you need to clean that up and I taper my lips inward to favor a good outside joint connection. Plus a slight inward angle allows epoxy to fill the joint when you do the inside taping.
