Strip: Strip Build Novice Present Unknowns

I am yet another strip-build novice although I do have some carpentry skills. I built my first "fabric on frame" canoe when I was 13 and also some more recent stich and glue projects since then. I have bought both of Nick's recent books and look forward to the start of construction of the single-seat Guillemot this Winter for recreation next Spring. I would like any advice that I can get on any problems that I could experience with construction at low working temperatures. I am aware that typical PVA wood adhesive has cautions on use at low temperatures and I would like any advice on any of the changes of working with epoxy resins at low temeratures. By low temperatures, I am anticipating working in my garage in the Southern UK at between 6 and 0C (40 to 32F) using West System resins. I would also be very grateful for any advice on any other particular aspects of construction that I should be aware of in these conditions. I hope to keep both a written and photographic record of the construction progress and will make these available soon after the launch festivities.
