Strip: build weight

Hi all!
I now have a complete 15ft 6" Guillemot kayak and I can't wait to get it on the water. All I have to do now is sand it down, half a dozon coats of Goldspar. Then finish the foot rests and the seat. I found a lad at the end of the lane with an old Fordson Major and have made a fibreglass pattern from it's seat. It feels good, I just need to work on it to make it look good. I've made two paddles with slightly differing lengths and blade sizes. So almost nothing left to do!!!
I have weighed it with just Nick's centre foot rail in place and it tips the scales at 35lbs. I used 3/16" strips and over 50% of these are WRC the rest are all hardwoods. 4oz cloth inside and out and double thickness inside the hull with some 6oz tape along the keel line and under the deck fore and aft of the cockpit. Does this weight sound reasonable?
