Strip: Guillemot Stern Strips

Bula.
Well after a few dramas - green timber for a strongback tends to warp as it dries! :), I am now at the stage of putting on the strips, first one is on...
Now comes the question. The sheer strip follows the line on the plan making a nice smooth curve, should the next strip follow this line as well, or would it work better if I took it straight out to the stern/bow and then filled the gap left with shorter strips? I've been playing for half an hour tying pieces on with string to see how they look, to me the difference is not a lot, but looking for advice before I do something stupid.
Many thanks.
Dave
