Strip: Thinking of building a Strip built Cargo Box

I use Cargo Boxes on top of my Saab for transporting gear (skis, luggage) for longer trips than the local jaunt. Im thinking of building a strip built box for fun. Any thoughts? has anyone ever tried this?
