Hello all,

I just was browsing lumber online and found this article on woods, their uses in boatbuilding, and their specific weights: http://www.glen-l.com/wood-plywood/bb-chap5c.html It's a great article- make sure you click "continue" at the bottom of the page as it is multiple pages long and there is a great comparison chart at the last page.

The irony is I just had a piece of this stuff in my hands today. My friend is using it on a project. I was wondering how well it bends. It is lighter than white oak (according to this chart at least) and apparently fairly rot resistant. Anyone bent this stuff? Further research revealed that this is apparently considered "moderate" for bending, but so are many other woods that I have easily bent, so I want to get some feedback from someone that has actually used it.
