heck you guys know all the tricks, thickened epoxy, bundles of fiber not flat layers of cloth, brass strip, epoxy soaked rope, UHMWPE, etc. Basically a thick ablative layer and not a thin layer of cloth that wraps over the sides where it's not being used at all for the inteded purpose. Thickened epoxy is probably the easiest but one time I got some dynel cord from Sweet and crammed/pulling an epoxy soaked 1 1/2" strip of kevlar tape through it giving a fat cord about 3/8"x3/16" when flattened.
