: Currently, my garage temp is about -28 C. Grrr! I looked at finding
: an electric heater but I can't get a good one without blowing a
: breaker. I can't use power tools and heat at the same time. I
: will be talking to an electrician 'bout wiring in some 240v and
: adding a couple of extra circuits. In the meantime, all I can
: think about these days is this weekend's party. Seems I will
: have to play Santa Claus for a million kids. Gonna have to
: increase my carb intake and stop shaving...the beard seems to be
: coming in fairly white these days. Once that is over with, I'll
: be adding a new brass rub strip to the stern keel of the VJ, the
: old ash has splintered so badly that it is mostly not there any
: more. That should add a couple of new pounds to her weight.

I use one of the radiator style heaters (no explosion hazards) when I warm the garage. But I too can't use the heater and power tools at the same time. I just unplug the heater and use the tools, then replug in the heater. Once warm it takes a while for the shop to lose it's heat, so unless you goof around it should stay comfy while you're using the tools. Next house is going to have 100 amp service just for the garage/shop. I miss my 3 hp table saw.
