Good day Palle,

I built my kayak outside on a strongback made from a treated 2x4 and exterior grade plywood. I had no problems with glue using elmer's yellow wood glue. I even shipped the kayak unfinished 3,000 miles by boat to the Virgin Islands where I completed the build and had no problems. I just tied it real good, wrapped it in plastic, and put it on top of all the other stuff. You should be fine building outside as long as you keep it covered.
